and this is the damage.
Its a 2005 Honda Odyssey. There are also dents in the floor-pan where there is the storage space in the floor. It looks like it punched through in a spot. He plans on caulking it up. Is that a good idea?

Probably better than leaving it open. I'd be more concerned about exhaust leaks.

It doesn't look like it punched any holes in the exhaust, but is there a way to test for that?

Put it on ramps or what have you and go underneath with it running. You should be able to hear the exhaust noise if it is leaking.

We actualy have it up on jack stands right now. (Not the same jack stand that he ran over, that was in the middle of the road somewhere)

I some how pulled a ramp under my wrx once. The car came down with its fender on the ramp and bent it just enough to put a nice gap between it and the door

damn! I was assuming he drove into the garage after you left a jackstand out and yelling and grounding likely happened soon after, but in the middle of the road!? ouch!
